Political Researcher and Analyst – Armenia (Project-Based)
Armenia is undergoing a period of significant political, social, and economic transformation shaped by regional dynamics, internal reforms, and shifting global relationships. Understanding these developments requires close attention to local context, policy changes, and evolving public sentiment across the country.
Position Overview
We invite qualified associates based in Armenia or with strong expertise in the country to collaborate on a project basis. We seek political analysts, journalists, researchers, and academics with deep knowledge of Armenia’s evolving political, social, and economic landscape.
We particularly welcome professionals with expertise in governance, public policy, regional dynamics, economic developments, civil society, and social change within Armenia.
Responsibilities include community-based research, monitoring developments and producing analytical reports.
This independent contractor role is suitable for professionals with strong analytical skills, subject-matter expertise, and the ability to deliver high-quality insights within strict timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct community-based research, including empirical fieldwork when appropriate.
Monitor political, social, and economic developments in Armenia.
Track policy changes, governance trends, and regional dynamics.
Collect and verify information using OSINT, media monitoring, and trusted local sources.
Produce clear analytical briefings and evidence-based reports.
Collaborate with the core research team to provide context-rich analysis.
Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical research standards.
Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Strong command of English (written and spoken).
In-depth understanding of Armenia’s political, social, and economic environment.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Resilience in the face of disruption and rapidly changing environments.
Experience in political research, journalism, academia, or policy analysis.
Familiarity with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
Expertise in governance, regional affairs, economic policy, or civil society.
Portfolio of publications, policy briefs, or research projects.
Established local networks and access to reliable sources.
Freelance, project-based engagement.
Remote work with community-based research when required.
